91 Si seats in an 89 hatch. need help

I am trying to install some front seats from a 91 Si hatch into my 89 DX hatch. Heres the problem. NONE of the bolt holes line up. I tried installing the tracks from my DX seats, but where the seat mounts to the floor in the Si is actually wider, and i can't just redrill holes in the floor because of the angle the seat would be at. Has anyone ever ran into this problem?? Its killing me. i've got my motor in and i'm ready to start installing my interior and this had stopped me

I would recommend using the 89 rails and mounts that line up to the floor, and attempt to find some way to bolt the seats to those rails. As you said. you don't want to drill new holes in the car...that is bad for many reasons, most important to me is that the OEM holes are reinforced and designed to hold the forces of a 150+ lbs. person and 40 lbs seat to the car in the event of catastrophic results (a crash) - who knows what the hell would happen if you just willy nilly drilled some holes in the floor?? But you know this already, so use your head.
I would check out Eric's stuff on the 4g website about installing seats..I think he ran into similar difficulties.

4-doors kick butt & I am patiently waiting for 91zc to pull that ZC!! I hope it is not fried!! Oh well..i did say I was willing to rebuild in my old sig didn't I? I guess here is my chance

Check the how to section sounds like my issue with the Integra seats. I used one rail from the integra the other from the Civic and had to use spacers and had to redrill the brackets a little bit.
